As a revenue manager in RMS, your focus is on monitoring performance, forecasting occupancy, and making data-driven decisions to maximise your property's revenue. The RMS brings key performance data together in one place, giving you the tools to analyse trends and act with confidence.
This guide introduces the main areas of the RMS you will work in day to day.
Log in for the first time
New users receive a welcome email with their login credentials. Follow the steps below to access the RMS.
Log in using the username and password from your welcome email.
Type your password manually, do not copy and paste from the email, as this can prevent a successful login.
Use the Forgot Password link on the RMS login screen if you need to reset your password.
If you cannot reset your password via the Forgot Password link, contact your administrator, they will need to re-create your account to restore access.
Analyse performance with the dashboard data centre
The dashboard data centre gives you a real-time view of your property's performance, with colour-coded indicators to help you quickly identify where you stand against last year and budget.
Click Dashboard on the left navigation to access the data centre.
View key performance metrics: RevPAR, Occupancy, ADR, Commission, Reputation, and Cancellations.
Colour indicators show how performance compares to last year and budget: green (above both), orange (behind one), red (behind both), and blue (no data available).
Switch between tabs, Dashboard, Revenue, Booking, Reputation, and Direct Channel to analyse different dimensions of property performance.
Hover over any figure to see same time last year (STLY) data and budget comparisons.
Filter by property name to focus on a specific hotel if you manage multiple properties.
Run and interpret reports
The RMS provides comprehensive reporting tools across multiple categories. Most reports are interactive and can be exported to Excel for further analysis.
Use Summary reports for monthly totals, daily pickup, rate activity, recommended rates, and performance by source, agency, room type, and rate.
Use Forecasting reports to view projected occupancy as daily summaries or monthly overviews, with on-the-books reference points for current and prior year data.
Use Operations reports to access on-the-books data, arrivals and departures, ADR, stay-through guests, and occupancy for a chosen date range.
Use Year Summary reports to view monthly data including budget, OTB, pickup, pace, and same time last year (STLY) comparisons.
Use Daily Detail reports for comprehensive daily information including ADR, revenue, occupancy, pickup evolution, and competitive set rate data.
Create Custom reports to analyse specific sources, markets, segments, rates, and room types, save them to run again on demand.
Export any report to Excel via the option on the lower left of the screen for further analysis or sharing with your team.
Track rate performance and recommendations
Dedicated rate reports give you the tools to monitor pricing performance and act on system recommendations.
Use the Rate Activity report to review pricing changes and performance for your chosen date range.
Use the Recommended Rates report to view system-suggested rates and support your pricing decisions.
Use the Status report to view your property's current month and the following three months at a glance.
Use the Daily Date Range Comparison report to compare revenue and ADR against the previous year and identify trends and opportunities.
Use the Room Type report to review sold rooms, ADR, and revenue with comparisons to same time last year (STLY) performance.
