RMS Product enhancement notes

Room setup quick access

We are pleased to introduce a new shortcut that gives users instant visibility into their room configuration without interrupting their current workflow.

Previously, viewing room setup required navigating away from the screen you were working on. With this update, a new icon in the top navigation bar allows you to open your room setup configuration from anywhere within RMS, displaying the mapping between PMS room codes and RMS room categories at a glance.

Prerequisites

No configuration is required. The button is available automatically to all users in the navigation bar.

New capabilities

  • A room setup icon is now visible in the top navigation bar across all screens.

  • Clicking the icon displays the full room type mapping between the PMS and the RMS without leaving your current view.

Benefits

  • Faster troubleshooting: instant access to room mapping reduces time spent navigating between screens during pricing operations.

  • No workflow disruption: revenue managers can verify configurations without losing context on their current task.

  • No setup required: the shortcut is enabled automatically for all users.

New algorithm: pricing from minimum booking volume

We are pleased to announce a significant advancement in our pricing engine that extends the benefits of AI-driven revenue management to a broader range of properties.

Previously, RMS required a substantial volume of historical booking data before it could generate reliable pricing recommendations. With this update, the algorithm has been redesigned to operate effectively with a minimum booking volume, as little as a week of reservation history is sufficient to begin producing meaningful recommendations. This is a significant step forward for newly opened hotels, properties that have recently migrated to a new PMS, or those that have been unable to recover prior booking data. The model continues to refine its recommendations as more data becomes available over time.

Prerequisites

No configuration is required. Properties with limited booking history will automatically benefit from this algorithm version upon activation.

New capabilities

  • RMS can now generate pricing recommendations with a minimum volume of booking data, approximately one week of history is sufficient to get started.

  • The algorithm learns and improves continuously as reservation data accumulates over time.

Benefits

  • Faster activation: hotels can start benefiting from AI-driven recommendations much sooner after go-live.

  • Broader market reach: newly opened properties and post-PMS migration hotels no longer need to wait for a data accumulation period.

  • Continuous improvement: the model refines its accuracy progressively as more booking data becomes available.

Automated user templates for STAAH integration

We are pleased to introduce a new automation that simplifies user creation for properties using RMS via the STAAH integration.

Previously, configuring a new user for the STAAH version required manually assigning the appropriate permissions. With this update, the system automatically applies the correct permission template when a new STAAH user is created, ensuring consistent and error-free setup every time.

Prerequisites

No configuration is required. The automated template is applied automatically when creating new users within the STAAH integration.

New capabilities

  • When creating a new user for the STAAH version, all appropriate permissions are assigned automatically based on the product version.

  • Manual permission configuration is no longer required for STAAH user onboarding.

Benefits

  • Faster onboarding: reduces the time required to set up new users for STAAH properties.

  • Consistency: eliminates the risk of misconfigured permissions across STAAH deployments.

  • Reduced support load: fewer setup errors mean less intervention required from support teams.

Pricing management screen, faster load times

We are pleased to announce a significant performance improvement to one of the most frequently used screens in RMS.

The pricing management screen has undergone a process optimisation that substantially reduces the time required to load the page. Users working with large data sets or complex rate structures will notice a considerably faster and more responsive experience when accessing this screen.

Prerequisites

No configuration is required. The improvement is applied automatically for all users.

New capabilities

  • The pricing management screen now loads significantly faster, with load times reduced by up to 50% compared to the previous version.

Benefits

  • Productivity gain: less waiting time when opening the core pricing screen during daily rate management.

  • Improved experience: particularly noticeable for properties with large numbers of room types, segments, or future dates.

  • No setup required: the improvement is active automatically for all users.

Pricing management, room type & segment visibility control

We are pleased to introduce a new capability that gives users greater control over the information displayed on the pricing management screen.

Previously, all room types and segments were always visible, which could make the screen difficult to navigate for properties with complex rate structures. With this update, users can now choose to hide specific room types or segments they do not need to see during their daily rate management workflow, resulting in a cleaner and more focused view.

Prerequisites

No configuration is required. The visibility control is available within the existing Sort Rooms option on the pricing management screen.

New capabilities

  • Within sort rooms, users can now toggle the visibility of individual room types and segments.

  • Hidden items are excluded from the pricing management view but remain active in the system.

  • Each user can configure their own preferred view independently.

Benefits

  • Decluttered interface: focus only on the room types and segments relevant to daily operations.

  • Efficiency: reduces scrolling and visual noise for properties with large rate structures.

  • Personalised workflow: each user can tailor the screen to their own working preferences.

Grouped date messages for consecutive pricing

We are pleased to introduce an optimisation to how RMS distributes pricing messages, developed in response to the message volume limitations present in certain PMS platforms.

Previously, each date with a price recommendation generated an individual message, even when the recommended rate was identical across a consecutive date range. Some PMS systems impose processing limits on the number of messages they can handle, which could result in delays or incomplete price updates. With this update, the system groups consecutive dates that share the same price recommendation into a single date-range message, significantly reducing message volume and ensuring reliable price distribution regardless of PMS constraints.

Prerequisites

No configuration is required. Message grouping is applied automatically by the system when distributing pricing updates.

New capabilities

  • Consecutive dates with identical price recommendations are combined into a single date-range message.

  • Message volume is reduced while the same pricing information is distributed accurately.

Benefits

  • PMS compatibility: ensures reliable price distribution for properties on PMS platforms with message volume restrictions.

  • Processing efficiency: fewer messages reduce load on PMS integrations and processing queues.

  • No action required: the optimisation is active automatically with no user configuration needed.

Calendar screen, performance optimisation

We are pleased to announce a major performance improvement to the calendar screen within RMS.

The calendar screen has been fully optimised and will now load up to twice as fast as before. Users who regularly work with this screen for date-level pricing analysis and strategy review will notice a significantly smoother and more responsive experience.

Prerequisites

No configuration is required. The improvement is applied automatically for all users.

New capabilities

  • Calendar screen load time has been reduced by up to 50%, delivering a faster and more responsive experience.

Benefits

  • Faster daily workflow: less time waiting when accessing the calendar for pricing review or strategy adjustments.

  • Smoother navigation: improved responsiveness when moving across dates or switching properties.

  • No setup required: the optimisation is active immediately for all users.

Intelligent competitor weighting in the pricing algorithm

We are pleased to introduce a significant enhancement to the way RMS evaluates your competitive set when calculating pricing recommendations.

Previously, all competitors in the compset were assigned equal weight. In a set of five competitors, for example, each one contributed 20% to the market reference price, regardless of how closely they competed with your property. With this update, RMS introduces an intelligent, multi-layered weighting model that assigns each competitor an influence level based on their relevance, similarity, and data quality — resulting in a market reference price that more accurately reflects your hotel's true competitive environment.

The market reference price is now constructed through a consensus process that considers the following inputs, each carrying a different level of influence depending on its relevance at that moment:

  • The weighted average of the full competitive set.

  • The rates of the most directly comparable competitors.

  • The prices of the highest-weighted competitors as defined by the competitor intelligence engine.

  • The broader market price distribution.

  • The hotel's own historical price reference for equivalent periods.

Prerequisites

No configuration is required. The updated weighting model is applied automatically to all properties using competitor data within RMS.

New capabilities

  • Competitors are now assigned individual weights based on their relevance and similarity to your property, rather than equal proportional shares.

  • The market reference price is derived from a multi-layered consensus model combining competitive set data, historical references, and market distribution.

  • The competitor intelligence engine determines the weighting of each competitor dynamically based on available data quality.

Benefits

  • More accurate benchmarking: the market reference price reflects your actual competitive position rather than a simple average.

  • Better recommendations: pricing suggestions are grounded in a more precise and defensible competitive context.

  • Automatic optimisation: the weighting model adjusts dynamically based on data availability and relevance, no manual setup required.
